Alissa Simão

Alissa is a Senior Recruitment Associate at Banyak Group, supporting retained and strategic search practices for Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, and Prop Trading. She is responsible for managing end-to-end candidate research and sourcing strategy and execution, client coordination and administrative support to Banyak’s leadership team.
Prior to joining Banyak Group, Alissa worked in Sales and Trading covering Fixed Income and Currencies for corporate and institutional clients at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America. She supported trade execution across fixed income products, bonds, repos, CDS, as well as FX products including NDFs and swaps.
What motivates Alissa most is staying closely attuned to the financial markets, following human capital moves, investment strategies, and major industry events, to advise candidates on career positioning with informed, timely insight. Alissa holds a degree in Public Administration with a double major in Economics.
Marcos Tassote

Marcos is a Senior Recruiter at Banyak Group specializing in the Investment Management industry, partnering with clients including Hedge Funds, Prop Trading Firms, Market Makers, and Asset Managers.
Prior to joining Banyak Group, Marcos spent over five years in executive search focused mostly on commodities across Latin America. His commodities background remains a core part of his work today, particularly as he supports clients active across energy, metals, and agri markets, including derivatives and paper trading.
Naturally curious and drawn to international environments, Marcos has always been interested in markets, different cultures, and learning how things work. He learned English from an early age and holds a BBA from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. He is based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Oban Cooper
Director of Prop Trading & Technology Recruitment
Oban is the Director of Prop Trading & Technology Recruitment, joining Banyak Group in 2022. He is responsible for leading retained search practices for Prop Trading Firms, Crypto Trading Firms, and Market Makers, while cross-functionally working with Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, and Family Offices. Additionally, he operates as a software developer building proprietary tools and infrastructure to optimize our recruitment efficiency.
Prior to joining Banyak Group, Oban was a licensed Private Investigator in the State of Florida with one of the world’s largest full-service investigation firms, CoventBridge Group. He has also held positions in sales, web design, and customer service, and spent most of his early career as an entrepreneur in Ecommerce.
Oban holds a Masters in Public Administration, a Masters in Criminal Justice, and a Bachelors in Criminal Justice, all from the University of Central Florida. He prides himself on being a versatile talent and a curious mind. Oban currently resides in Orlando, FL, with dreams of owning a farm.
